Been a member for about a week...but I've been pondering these questions...very deep pondering...Collapse )

And I had a question:
>>Do any of you know how "professional" the non-costumed cast members have to be? Do we need a suit or something? And, that applies to when we have classes and meetings too, right? I wasn't sure even after I read the dress code part of the site. Just tryin to clear this up and see if I need to go shopping. ^_^'

>>It was nice to meet you all! ^_^

Yeah, I'm a giant dork. I just made a facebook group for WDWCP Fall 06 people. I'm not sure if the link will work, but if it doesn't, just search for it.

I'm getting out of control excited about the program now!

So, I've been running orientation sessions for the new students at college.  It's a lot of fun, especially since my fun fact at intros is applying to do the college program.

Anyway, one of the kids at orientation introduced me to Google Earth.  So, I installed this very detailed (and free) program and looked at these amazing aerial maps.  I went from my house to campus to London to Australia to the Hollywood sign.

Then I went to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, etc.  Do you know how sad it is that I can recognize buildings and rides from Walt Disney World on an aerial map?

 Well, I lost my log in password and can't log in right now, and I think the information I want is somewhere in the log in area.  Does anyone  know anything about the Cast Member Theatre program they have down there? They have a link somewhere on the CP site (I think where it talks about the "extracurricular" activites available; book clubs and such), but I can't find it and can't remember the link myself.  If anyone knows what I'm talking about and knows the link, or wouldn't mind looking, I'd appreciate it!

Hey guys, Scott here--I'll be arriving on August 28 to work in Operations. I live in Michigan and I plan on taking my car down to Florida--the only problem is that it is exactly a 24 hour drive to Disney World from my house. Does anyone have any advice about these long drives, including places to stay or ways to make my time most effective?

Hey everyone! It's been a while, but I just wanted to check in with all of you awesome community members (63 official, 66 watchers, LOL!) with a STATUS UPDATE! What inspired this post? Well, although I created this community way back in January, many of you have joined, gone through the processes and may already be knee-deep into your WDWCP adventures whilst the non-advantage CPers like myself are still in anxious anticipation. =)

So in this post, I invite each and every one of you to provide a snippet as to what stage you are on in the WDWCPFALL06 process! Whether you're still counting down the days to get there (or already counting the days to return home!) or even if you're not planning on going down this fall,* just shout out your thoughts here! And as always, feel free to share anything WDWCP-related for feedback and comments from others as interested with the WDWCP as you =)

* From Official WDWCP site...
We will still interview students for the 2006 Fall Program until July 14th. If you have any friends who would be interested in starting on the program in August, please have them view our E-Presentation (http://disneycollegeprogram.com/epresentation) and schedule a telephone interview. All interested students must interview by July 14th!

So, I just found out that there is going to a movie released about Tinker Bell in 2007.  The title is "Tinker Bell."  Creative, huh?  lol

Brittany Murphy will be providing the VOICE of Tinker Bell.  The movie is about her and the new faeries that Disney introduced, with more talent to the voice cast.

I'm kind of mixed about this.  I love all things Peter Pan, so that makes me happy.  However, I think we've had enough sequels for a while.  I guess what really gets me irritated is that Tinker Bell is going to have a voice.  Growing up with the musical and the book, I'm just so used to her "voice" being the bells.  The fact that they are giving her a voice is a bit odd.  (Then again, I don't know how they'd do a faeries movies without dialogue from the faeries.)

Just a bit of a Disney-related rant.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to update again; I recently got an email from Disney College Recruiting (I am sure many of you have, as well) but I wanted to post it and share in case not everyone has). It shares information with what is presented on the site, but without further ado, I present...
