Hey everyone! So I have a quick question for all of you who have done/are doing the program. I'm coming down in the spring aannndd I have a betta fish. Are small unnoticeable pets acceptable? And like if my mom brings my bird to visit for a day are they going to wig out? What exactly is the pet policy? Thanks for ANY info you can give, and as soon as you can! Thanks!!!

Honestly, I wouldn't, since they do inspections and routine maintenance such as Pest Control, changing your A/C filters, and what not...and IMHO you wouldn't want to compromise your position in risk of terminiation just for the sake of having a fish. Plus, there'd pretty much be no way that they'd even let you through security gates with a bird, seeing as every guest has to be signed in and I don't know how you'd possibly slip that by them. The pet policy is pretty simple: no pets.

If my roommates mom brought a bird into the apartment, forget security, I'D wig out lol.

One of my friend's roommies bought a cat. Yep, a cat. It just sleeps. haha. Of course you all know what I'm talking about - the cats that look real and make breathing noises when they sleep. One of the other roomies found it at the end of her bed one day and freaked out. lol

But, yeah, no pets. Not even fish. The only "pet" you can have is a lizard that hangs outside your door next to the lights at night waiting for their next victim. Oh, and if you live in Chatham you won't have to worry about wanting a pet since there is a lot of wild life around (birds that stand in your parking spot, lizards everywhere, lovebugs invading your personal space, stray cats, rabbits, snakes, alligators, etc).

Honestly, even if you CAN sneak a fishy in here (you can't) you won't have enough time to take care of him and keep him living! And about the bird... Don't waste your mom's time bringing him down, because they won't let him in. Sorry!
